Activities

Beaches - discover the fantastic white sand beaches of South Lombok. The road along the southern coast has sweeping ocean views and is well worth exploring. Selong Belanak has won the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice award for the best beach in Asia in 2016 and 2017. Look out for Mawun and Tanjung A’an along the south coast or Pink Beach at Tangsi in east Lombok.

Eat & Drink - Villa K has several excellent restaurants and bars within easy reach, from dining on the beach or watching spectacular sunsets from the hills overlooking the coastline.  At Kuta, a little further to the east (and easy to reach in a day trip as part of touring the beaches), you will find a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and bars.

Relax and Indulge – treat yourself to a massage, reflexology, manicure or pedicure. We can arrange for an in-villa treatment either at the garden gazebo or in your villa bedroom, or you can visit The Spa @ Sempiak in Selong Belanak. Yoga classes are also available at several locations overlooking the beach.

Surfing – The southern coast has many options for beginners, intermediate and experienced surfers. Head for Gerupuk, Seger beach at Kuta, Are Guling, Mawi, Selong Belanak to name just a few spots. Desert Point in the far south west is Lombok’s most famous surfing destination, it’s considered one of the best waves in the world – only for the very experienced!  Lessons and board hire are available from Selong Belanak.   You will also find kayaks, kite surfing and stand-up paddle boarding available.

Scuba Diving - South Lombok has offers pristine reef dive sites for both beginners and experienced divers, in nearby Sekotong and Belongas Bay. Underwater paradise.

Drive & Explore – Our villa manager can assist you plan a day out exploring with our driver.  Scooter rental is available from Selong Belanak if you would like to discover the region for yourself. The roads are generally free of traffic so this is a great option to discover the local area.

Fishing – the southern coast has abundant marine life; large schools of fish feed and breed around the reefs. Commonly caught fish are giant trevally, Spanish mackerel, marlin, sailfish, wahoo, mahi-mahi, tuna and barracuda.

Shopping – head to Epicentrum in Mataram for a modern shopping mall with international fashion brands, surf & sports wear, a hypermarket, plenty of restaurants & coffee shops as well as a Gold Class movie theatre and Timezone arcade. Or try Lombok City Centre mall which even offers ice skating.

Trekking  & Hiking - Mount Rinjani National Park is one of Indonesia’s best eco parks and offers many options to explore the volcano itself (summit at 3,726m), the crater rim, lakes and waterfalls. As most tours start from Senaru or Sembulan on the north side of Lombok, this may be a good option either before or after your stay at the villa.

Local Culture - Learn about Lombok’s cultural heritage on a visit to a working indigenous Sasak tribal village at Sade (near Kuta), where you can experience life amongst the bamboo & thatch village huts, see traditional hand woven fabrics being manufactured and local music & dance performances. A good place for arts & crafts souvenir shopping.

Wildlife - Lombok Elephant Park is a new attraction, a place of conservation, sanctuary and education. It promotes elephants in their natural environment, along with exotic and charismatic birds, orang-utans, sun bears, gibbons and many other animals.
